Yasmine Hadni was born in 1992 in Rabat, Morocco, and is currently based in Casablanca. She received her art education across two continents, earning a National Art Diploma from the Villa Arson in Nice before pursuing a Master of Fine Arts in Painting and Drawing at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
Although painting lies at the core of her practice, Yasmine Hadni incorporates a variety of media, including video, drawing, sound, and printmaking, within a transdisciplinary approach. Her work draws on family photo archives as a narrative and aesthetic starting point, recontextualizing archival images through painted compositions that blend memory and fiction, personal introspection and social commentary, as well as cinematic and painterly references. Through compositions that are both poetic and filled with ambiguity, she offers a complex and nuanced investigation of the human relationships that shape these familial spheres, with childhood emerging as a recurring conceptual lens.
Her work has been exhibited at venues including the Artorium (Fondation TGCC), the 1-54 Contemporary African Art Fair in Marrakech, and Art Paris 2026, where she presented a solo show in the Promesses sector, as well as at the Mucem in 2026. She also completed a residency at La Friche la Belle de Mai in 2025.
In 2024, she was awarded second place in the Mustaqbal Prize by the TGCC Foundation, a major distinction within the Moroccan art scene.

Yasmine Hadni est née en 1992 à Rabat, au Maroc, et vit et travaille actuellement à Casablanca. Elle a suivi une formation artistique sur deux continents, obtenant un Diplôme National d'Art à la Villa Arson à Nice, avant de poursuivre un Master of Fine Arts, département Peinture et Dessin, à la School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
Si la peinture est au cœur de sa pratique, Yasmine Hadni intègre également une variété de médiums, dont la vidéo, le dessin, le son et la gravure, dans une approche transdisciplinaire. Son travail puise dans les archives photographiques familiales comme point de départ narratif et esthétique, recontextualisant des images d'archives à travers des compositions peintes qui mêlent mémoire et fiction, introspection personnelle et commentaire social, ainsi que des références cinématographiques et picturales. À travers des compositions à la fois poétiques et empreintes d'ambiguïté, elle propose une investigation complexe et nuancée des relations humaines qui façonnent ces sphères familiales, l'enfance émergeant comme un outil conceptuel récurrent.
Son travail a été exposé dans des lieux tels que l'Artorium (Fondation TGCC), la 1-54 Contemporary African Art Fair de Marrakech, ainsi qu'à Art Paris 2026, où elle a présenté un solo show dans le secteur Promesses, et au Mucem en 2026. Elle a également effectué une résidence à la Friche la Belle de Mai en 2025.
