Yasmine Hadni was born in 1992 in Rabat, Morocco, and lives and works in Casablanca. She holds a National Art Diploma from the Villa Arson in Nice and a Master of Fine Arts in Painting and Drawing from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
Painting is at the core of her practice, which also extends to video, drawing, sound and printmaking. Drawing on family photo archives, she reworks archival images into painted
compositions that blend memory and fiction, personal introspection and social commentary. Poetic and deliberately ambiguous, her work explores the human relationships that shape family life, with childhood as a recurring lens.
Her work has been exhibited at the Artorium (Fondation TGCC), the 1-54 Contemporary African Art Fair in Marrakech, Art Paris 2026, where she presented a solo show in the Promesses sector, and the Mucem in 2026. She completed a residency at La Friche la Belle de Mai in 2025.
Her work is held in the collection of the Fondation Alliances, among other major private collections.
In 2024, she was awarded second place in the Mustaqbal Prize by the TGCC Foundation.

Née en 1992 à Rabat, Yasmine Hadni vit et travaille à Casablanca. Elle est diplômée de la Villa Arson à Nice (Diplôme National d'Arts Plastiques) et de la School of the Art Institute of Chicago (Master of Fine Arts, Peinture et Dessin).
Peintre avant tout, elle travaille aussi la vidéo, le dessin, le son et l'estampe. Sa pratique s'appuie sur les archives photographiques de sa famille, qu'elle transpose en peinture. Entre souvenir et fiction, ses toiles interrogent les rapports qui structurent la sphère familiale, ses liens, ses hiérarchies, ses rôles assignés, souvent à travers le regard de l'enfance.
Son travail a été présenté à l'Artorium (Fondation TGCC), à la 1-54 Contemporary African Art Fair de Marrakech, au Mucem et à Art Paris 2026, où elle a présenté un solo show dans le secteur Promesses. Résidente à la Friche la Belle de Mai en 2025, elle a reçu en 2024 le deuxième prix du Mustaqbal Prize de la Fondation TGCC. Ses œuvres figurent dans la collection de la Fondation Alliances, parmi d'autres grandes collections privées.
